"দুটি পাতা একটি কুঁড়ির দেশ" নামে খ্যাত জেলা মৌলভীবাজার, দেশের অন্যতম প্রধান পর্যটন ও প্রবাসী অধ্যুষিত কুলাউড়া উপজেলার অন্তর্গত বরমচাল অঞ্চলের সর্বোচ্চ বিদ্যাপীঠ "বরমচাল উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় ও কলেজ" জ্ঞান বিতরণের প্রধান সূতিকাগার। 1950 সালে বরমচাল উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় নামে যাত্রা শুরু করে এ শিক্ষাঙ্গনটি তৈরি করেছে হাজার হাজার শিক্ষিত মানবসম্পদ যাঁরা তাঁদের জ্ঞান প্রজ্ঞা আর মেধা দিয়ে সেবা করে যাচ্ছেন দেশে-বিদেশে। চমৎকার এক নৈসর্গিক পরিবেশে স্থাপিত প্রতিষ্ঠানটিতে ১৯৯৫ সনে কলেজের যাত্রা শুরু করেছিলো । মানবসম্পদ তৈরির মহান ব্রতকে কাঁধে নিয়ে অনেক চড়াই-উতরাই পেরিয়ে আজ এ প্রতিষ্ঠানটি সিলেট বিভাগের অন্যতম সুপরিচিত শিক্ষাঙ্গন।    কেবল পরিমাণগত দিক থেকে নয় বরং গুণগত দিক থেকেও এ প্রতিষ্ঠানটি অন্য সবাইকে ছাড়িয়ে যাবার প্রত্যাশা করে। বর্তমানে এ প্রতিষ্ঠানে কর্মরত প্রায় ৩০ জন শিক্ষকের পাশাপাশি বেশ কয়েকজন অতিথি শিক্ষক তাঁদের প্রজ্ঞা, মেধা আর সৃজনশীলতা দিয়ে চেষ্টা করে যাচ্ছেন সত্যিকার অর্থেই প্রতিষ্ঠানটি একটি মানবসম্পদ তৈরির আঁতুড় ঘরে পরিণত করতে।
